UCP of the Inland Empire is thrilled to announce the success of its recent bike fitting event, where a record-breaking 36 custom adaptive bikes were fitted for individuals with disabilities in a single day. These bikes will be custom made over the next 6 weeks for each rider’s abilities and give them an opportunity to meet physical therapy goals in a fun and inclusive way. This remarkable achievement marks a significant milestone for the organization and showcases their unwavering commitment to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities through inclusive recreational opportunities.
The event garnered tremendous support from the community, volunteers, and donors, all united in their efforts to make a positive impact on the lives of those facing mobility challenges. The custom adaptive bikes were generously funded through donations and sponsorships from local businesses and individuals who share UCP’s vision of an inclusive society.
“At United Cerebral Palsy of the Inland Empire, we firmly believe that every person, regardless of ability, deserves the chance to experience the simple joys of life. This bike fitting event is a testament to the power of collective compassion and the impact it can have on the lives of individuals with disabilities,” said John Sprogis, President/CEO UCP of the Inland Empire. “We are immensely grateful to our dedicated team, volunteers, donors, and supporters who made this event possible and are helping us create a more accessible and inclusive community.”
The event not only provided adaptive bikes but also fostered a sense of camaraderie among participants and their families, as they came together to celebrate the joy of mobility and shared experiences. Through this initiative, UCP of the Inland Empire continues to reinforce its position as a leading advocate for disability rights and an organization committed to enriching the lives of individuals with disabilities.
The bike fitting event is a testament to UCP of the Inland Empire’s ongoing dedication to providing critical resources, support services, and recreational opportunities that empower individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling and independent lives.
