At UCPIE, we believe inclusion isn’t just a value—it’s something you can see in motion. This April, the power of that belief came to life as two incredible individuals, Saul and Cinthya, received custom adaptive bikes through UCPIE’s Adaptive Bike Giveaway Program.
On April 12th at the Coachella Valley Firebirds game, Cinthya was awarded her very own adaptive bike, co-branded with the Firebirds logo. Presented with love and celebration, her moment in the spotlight reminded us all what inclusion really looks like. Cinthya’s family shared how much this gift means to them—not only will it support her physical development, but it gives her the chance to add biking as a new physical activity to enjoy outdoors.
During the Ontario Reign hockey game on April 19, Saul was surprised center ice with a fully customized adaptive bicycle built just for him. As the announcer shared his story and the crowd erupted in applause, Saul’s expression said it all—pride, joy, and excitement his family close by overwhelmed with emotion. For Saul, this bike represents more than mobility—it offers a new way to explore the world, engage with peers, and gain independence. He no longer has to sit on the sidelines—now, he can ride right alongside his friends.
These adaptive bikes are specially designed to meet each individual’s unique needs and can cost between $4,000 and $6,000. For many families, this kind of equipment is out of reach. But thanks to our generous donors and partners, Saul and Cinthya now have the tools to grow stronger, more confident, and more connected to their communities.
As we celebrate Summer Inclusion this June, Saul and Cinthya’s stories remind us of the power of mobility—and the importance of making sure every individual has the opportunity to move through life with dignity and joy.
Together, we can keep the wheels turning and make inclusion a reality for more families across the Inland Empire.
Sponsor an adaptive bike. Change a life. Give the gift of freedom.
